Elevated Thought Creative Center

The Elevated Thought Foundation has new theatrical media systems in their Creative Center. The space is on the top floor of the historic Everett Mill in Lawrence, MA.

We designed an equipment grid on the ceiling, full color LED stage lighting, video projection, 2.1-channel audio system, and touch panel operated controls.

The new systems will make it easier for non-technical uses to quickly set up for use cases such as slide lectures, panel discussions, music performances and film screenings. There are also analog and Dante audio, video and DMX lighting control access points for more advanced productions, photo/video shoots, etc.

One design objective was to keep the lighting grid and equipment in the air looking as light and airy as possible. Another challenge was simply getting a retractable projection screen large enough for the room into the building—without resorting to a seriously expensive crane rental.

Here is an example of a touch panel control screen.
