Providence Public Library Donald J. Farish Auditorium

Taking over the AV design and installation for this Providence Public Library project, we inherited a design where the speakers were placed incorrectly and the projector could not even hit the screen. Then, asbestos was discovered in the ceiling which further limited what could be done to salvage the project.
In the end, the 8.1 surround sound with Fulcrum Acoustic speakers is mind-blowing. An Extron surround sound audio processor has been programmed to automagically configure any kind of Blu-ray multi-channel audio source to work in the hall. And, the Barco F80 projector image is simply delicious. All done within the original budget.
It is always a pleasure to have the client come into a room while tuning it and see their jaws literally drop with astonishment. The good kind.
Here is a view from the projection booth showing one of the custom touch panel controllers on the right. Another, smaller touch panel is backstage right so the room may be operated for some presentations without access to the projection booth.
This is a screen capture from the control system we designed showing the audio player control screen. The video input selection between the stage and booth inputs are along the top, with projector, screen and audio controls on the sides.
