The installation went horribly. The project salesperson decided to appoint himself the lead installer and sent the designer (me) and an actual lead installer away. He brought in a crew that only had experience working in modern office buildings and system programmers working remotely from India. What could possibly go wrong?
Here is this salesperson attempting to persuade everyone that wall-mounting a projection screen over an historic mural will be perfectly fine.
Needless to say, the client was not happy about the time it took to pick up the pieces from the train wreck. In the end, after multiple return trips to replace destroyed wiring and reprogram everything, the system works very well and meets all the design goals.
